Just in time to continue your (and my!) “pizza journey”…
October Is All About The Beer and The Pizza and at Old Chicago, So Are They! With Oktoberfest and National Pizza Month Now In Full Swing, Old Chicago Mockingbird Station is the place to be!
Who else but Old Chicago Mockingbird Station could bring together mouth-watering pizza and world-famous beer under the same roof for Oktoberfest and National Pizza Month? The famous pizza and taproom offers classic and signature recipe pizzas along with a broad selection of draft and bottled craft beer-the perfect combo to celebrate this month’s festivities. Founded in 1976 Old Chicago operates in 22 states with a total of 100 restaurants; they know their pizza!
Oktoberfest is the perfect event to celebrate the beer, the food and, of course, the German roots of over 2.5 million Texans. Old Chicago Mockingbird Station joins the celebration with its huge line-up of world-class craft beers with an international selection as well as local fresh sheets.
“By offering a huge selection of local, regional and international beers, Old Chicago can appeal to any beer lover this fall,” explains Old Chicago Mockingbird Station General Manager Dan Childers. “It is why we pride ourselves in being the Craft Beer Authority.”
With over 30 craft beers on tap, Old Chicago is also the home of the World Beer Tour, which rewards members for enjoying 110 of the best craft beers from across the globe.
The only thing that could make these beers—and Oktoberfest—better is pairing them up with any of Old Chicago’s delicious pizza pies for National Pizza Month this
October month. The Colorado-based restaurant offers both classic recipes, such as its Meat Me Pizza loaded with Italian Sausage, Canadian bacon, andouille sausage, pepperoni, green olive garnish and fresh basil, as well as its one-of-a-kind signature recipes including its red sauce Applewood-Spiced BBQ Chicken Pizza, its sweet and spicy chili sauce Thai Pie, and its white sauce Peppered Bacon Chicken Alfredo.
Offering over 15 different pizza specialties, including a healthier option with its gluten sensitive pizza, Old Chicago Mockingbird Station puts the “Pizza” in National Pizza Month. To celebrate, enjoy any 2-topping individual pizza—with unlimited salad—for lunch every weekday throughout October from 11AM to 3PM for only $7.99. And to make it even better Old Chicago Mockingbird Station offers $2 pub pizzas every night after 10PM.
“Since 1976 we’ve been serving handcrafted pizzas, made from scratch, every day. That is expertise you can taste, and we can’t wait to show it off during National Pizza Month this October,” states Sr. Marketing Manager Gretchen Sherlock of the festivities.
So head to Old Chicago Mockingbird Station, located only a few minutes away from SMU Campus, to celebrate not just a day of beer and pizza but a whole month! Beer selections and pizza choices, along with other dining options, can be found at Old Chicago’s online menu.
For me, the staff (especially our waitress, Isabel), the fare and the (humongous) beer selection are more than enough reason to come!
hungry on your “pizza journey”, Dallas.
