Did you know this Friday, July 24th, is National Tequila Day? To celebrate the momentous occasion, I wanted to share the below cocktail options to help narrow down your quest for the best tequila infused beverage in Dallas or at home!
Cocktail via Paul Martin’s American Grill
- 2 ounces tequila
- ½ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 ounce housemade sweet and sour
- ½ ounce agave
- Salt rim, served on the rocks
- Garnished with a lime wedge
Shake Don Julio Blanco Tequila, agave nectar, fresh made lime juice, and housemade sweet and sour. Served on the rocks with a salted rim and lime wedge.
Cocktail via Mexican Sugar
- 1.5 oz tequila
- ¾ oz hibiscus water
- ½ oz simple syrup
- ½ oz lime juice
- ½ oz Cointreau
- 1/3 oz velvet falernum
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass half-rimmed with superfine sugar. Garnish with an edible orchid.
