Recently I stopped into West Plano’s newest pizzeria, Firecrust Neapolitan Pizzeria! Nestled in the shopping strip located on Park & Midway, Firecrust is easily accessible, thank the pizza-Gods because this is my new favorite (especially because it is BYOB)! I have driven past this location but always on my way to another destination, leaving me no time to pop in. I picked a date in my calendar, penciled it in and made it happen!
The interior is spacious and can effortlessly accommodate large parties. Upon entering you are directed to the right in which you will see the menu board and your very own personal “pizzaiolo” (Italian for “pizza chef”) awaiting your arrival. At this time you can either select from Firecrust’s six “favorites” or “Make Your Own Pizza”. We did both (so many tasty options!). Once the pies are meticulously engineered they are placed in the fire-engine red brick oven, heated at 900°. Located at the far end of the feastful assembly line, the pies will now bake for only 90 seconds.
(Insider Tip: instantly turn any pie into a calzone, just tell your pizzaiolo!)
Fire Roasted Italian Sausage, Ham, Fire Roasted Prosciutto, San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Fior Di Latte, Romano and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA
Classic Pepperoni, Freshly Diced Pineapple, Artichokes, San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Fior Di Latte, Fresh Parmesan and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The two pizzas did not mislead! The crust was blistered to perfection and basked in the flavor of the fired oven (hence “firecrust”). The table enjoyed consuming the pizza just as much as we did watching it develop, from the crust up. It is apparent that Firecrust only uses the highest quality ingredients, you can taste this after the first nibble.
At Firecrust we take pride in using only top quality ingredients to add to your pizza. From our Premium Meats to our fresh Cheese’s to our Fire Roasted Vegetables, they are chosen as some of the best products we could source. Buon appetito! –Firecrust
The staff at Firecrust make the visit worth it alone. The manager, Jonathan Kost, makes his rounds to each table to check on his guests satisfaction. I favor Firecrust over
Cane Rosso it’s competitors for the service, value, close proximity to the ‘burbs, their S’Mores Calzone…and the fact that it’s BYOB.
Firecrust Neapolitan Pizzeria is gourmet, swift and budget friendly, making it an ideal selection for date night or a family outing.
$20 for two pizzas + $8 bottle of Apothic Red (BYOB, remember!) = $30 date night (can’t beat that!)
Stay hungry, Dallas.
